There were over 30 participants, primarily academic principals, directors and subject teachers from over 10 other A Level centres in Beijing, Changchun, Zhengzhou, and so on.¡¡

¡¡¡¡Ms.Smith led the workshop with latest updates on Cambridge International AS and A levels, some redevelopments in curriculum syllabus, latest qualification development, as well as projects to support teachers. There was a robust open discussion session after the workshop when teachers and directors from both ALC and external schools shared their insightful and practical ideas with everyone in the workshop.¡¡

She was very impressed with the high level of equipment in the classrooms and was particularly interested in interactive whiteboards. The Olympic size swimming pool and the huge gymnasium also impressed her.¡¡

¡¡¡¡However, the areas of the school that most impressed her were the innovations that the school is making in the Arts and Music. She was impressed by our facilities in Digital Art and in our Music Technology suite. Ms. Smithobserved a lesson on composition and enjoyed seeing the students¡¯ efforts towrite their own Viennese Waltz. Ms. Smith also had the opportunity to look in on some of the school¡¯s more unusual classes, Digital Art and Psychology. Ms. Smith was very impressed with the quality of the students¡¯ work, and she also commented on the fluency of the students¡¯ English and the obvious passion that they had for their subjects.¡¡
